Description
Jumping back into the Chronicles of Narnia series, I decided that the above image is my next iconic location.
Again, this series is based on what specific location stood out to me while having my own experience reading the books, and then illustrating them the way I imagined them to look like. This is what I believed this place would look like: having an expansive forest with nothing but simple trees and perfectly rounded ponds, which one will have to keep track of which they came out from or else end up entering another world.
I started out with a reference of the wood from the game, The Path (drive.google.com/file/d/0B5E5s…. (Something about the way these trees looked and the mist in the distance made it a prefect reference! ;A; ) From there, I went off and clone stamped over parts I don't want, cleaned up the image, added the ponds, and gave the detail including the grass, tree bark, and the light and shadows. I guess this is more or less a session of taking an image and transform it into something completely different. I am really happy about how this turned out.

This was always the most mysterious part of the book for me, and I loved the idea that there was this magical place where you can go to other worlds. It's inspired a lot of my fantasy writing up to this day, and it really cool that it's stuck with other people to depict the setting. :)
